You then have the snorkelers. These are the friends who want to go deep, but don’t have the emotional capacity to carry the pressure and weight. If they make an attempt, they either drown or are forced to go back to the surface for oxygen.
Finally, let’s talk about the deep sea divers. These are the people who stay with you through storms and violent waters, and they aren’t afraid to dive to the darkest parts of the ocean floor: they stay with you, in the water, through the worst times. They aren’t afraid to call out your bullshit. They’re the people who are there for you no matter what happens.
We all need the third type of people in our lives."

I’m not familiar with Deviantart’s policy, but what I do know is that for the Western fandom, it’s pretty much okay to repost art on Tumblr or any site, as long as there’s a credit source. And everyone I know pretty much understands/know this rule.
Pixiv, on the other hand, is really strict, as it complies with Japan’s Copyright Law, especially since they have this on their Help page:
2nd line is especially important, since this is one rule that people can’t seem to understand.
Unless you have explicit permission to post the art on your blog, you are not allowed to repost the artist’s work on your blog.
Even if you put a link source.
Even if you link back to the original art.
Even if you credit the artist.
What is okay is that you link the original artwork on your Tumblr blog, that’s it.
